Did you know blog planning is actually super easy? Everything you need to structure your blogs is already available via Google, you don’t need any paid tools, you don’t need anything other than a computer. Let me show you how to plan a single blog using only Google…
Step 1: Google your target topic
There will most likely be a featured snippet or SERP feature, see if that answer is high quality. You can probably create a better version or answer. You can also scroll through the top handful of results to see what they have in common, how the differ, and how you can possible do something better.

Step 2: Find the People Also Asked Section
Generally speaking, the People Also Ask section of the SERPs will give you exactly what you need to fully structure a blog. These should be used as H2s throughout your blog. Be careful of the PAA section because often times the questions will overlap or be semantic matches.

Step 3: See How the Top Results End Their Blogs
It’s important to realize how the top results end their blogs. If each one is sending users to a shopping page, or if each one is sending users to a contact form, you may want to mimic those other results. That being said, if you feel the top results are getting the ending wrong, it’s a good chance to try and differentiate yourself and do something different.
Step 4: Is Google Showing Visual or Video Results
Multimedia is more important than ever. If video or image results are on page 1 or even at the top of the results that means you must be doing video or images on your topic, otherwise you will not compete.

Step 5: Put It All Together
Time to write, create, publish, monitor, and iterate. Remember that SEO and content creation is never done.
